Ready

Almost ready to update the default version of the site & launch -- I just want to give my faithful beta testers a chance to review the minor tweaks.

The latest version is available at:
http://3.latest.flowdle.appspot.com/

and will be live soon.

Group Nudges

Group Nudges have now been enabled. This setting will be On by default in order to limit the Google App Engine mail quotas. The feature may be useful for some people. I particular like it as a review of my daily list...especially on my phone.

New Settings

Default sorts, tags on "all" view, mobile nudges and the Nudger service itself have all been added.  Feel free to test it out & let me know.  The only final piece before opening up the Beta is to GROUP nudges into 1 send per day.  This will cut down on the email quota with GAE but will inevitably cut into the CPU quota.

I already anticipate quota problems with more than 20 active users.  Hopefully by that point Google will increase their resource quotas (or sell more resources).  In the spirit of "Getting Real" running out of resources is a good problem to have.

Default Tag on Load

I've just updated the App with it's first custom setting, "Default Tag on Load".

This is the Tag that should be viewed on the initial loading of the App.  I thought this would be helpful as I have many tasks in Flowdle but only a few tagged as "urgent" -- now when I first go to www.flowdle.com the urgent tasks appear first.

Use it however you feel & please let me know if there's anything else that would be helpful.

jQuery

I just replaced all my Prototype-based JavaScript with jQuery. It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would, either. I have to say that I really prefer jQuery to Prototype.

The reason being because of this ticket.

Closed Beta

Flowdle is now up & running in closed beta.   There are some things that need to get updated right away (mainly the Nudger Service); however, I thought it prudent to create a blog to discuss upcoming updates and changes.

Feel free to post comments and /or suggestion on this blog.
